We are a charity that works in partnership with researchers, NHS Trusts and Universities. Our aim is to train specialist dogs to detect the odour of human disease.
Dogs are renowned for their sense of smell. For centuries doctors have known diseases have characteristic odours which dogs may be able to detect.
Medical Detection Dogs offers a variety of events to participate in and raise valuable donations to support the charity. Check out the events below for more information.
The Do it for Charity London to Brighton Cycle Ride is a mass-participation cycle ride covering the 54 miles from south London to Madeira Drive on Brighton sea front. In 2018 the ride will take place on the 16th September and over 4,000 riders are expected to take part.
